“Six months ago feels like eons ago,” mommy said tonight. Six months ago we were excited and flying down, and then we were sad and waiting to see what would happen next. And then it took months for the next thing to happen. We had to invite ourselves to a court hearing and gather you up ourselves.
Six months old today, and last night I read the six month chapter of the first year book. So for the first time in the two months we’ve had you, I feel somewhat informed and prepared. I have a reasonable idea of what to expect, of where you are developmentally, and where you’re headed.
You are advanced, exceptionally advanced, concerning mobility. Babies your age don’t usually crawl across the floor, pull themselves up, and stand over a toy basket looking in. Some babies won’t do that until they are older than you and you were doing it two weeks ago.
You’re small for your age, but I wonder if it has anything to do with how active you are . . . you’re going more than you’re growing.
