Daddy’s gag threshold

“Poop, so much poop”

In the past, Daddy would gag at just the thought of something gross.

Thanks to you, Daddy gags a whole lot less than I did before.

Eight months ago, Daddy was getting you ready for a bath. I took off your diaper and as we waited for the water to fill, you stood and pooped. I dealt with the situation like I expected it to happen.

A few months ago, you pooped while Daddy was giving you your bath. In the past, a bath with poop in it was enough to make Daddy gag for 10 minutes.LS_crisp-linen-150x250

This time, Daddy deftly pulled you out of the tub, washed the poop down the drain, threw away the bath toys, sanitized the tub with Lysol, washed the tub out, and put you back into the tub, hardly without thinking.

As you’ve grown older, and given us new opportunities to love you, Mommy and Daddy have grown with you.

Yesterday morning was a new opportunity for Daddy to grow.

You woke up a few times in the night. First around 3:30 in the morning, and then around 6. But both times you managed to put yourself back to sleep.

When Daddy finally got you around 9 a.m., you were standing at the door, waiting.

You’d unzipped and taken off your sleeper. You were nearly out of your onesie and your diaper was half off.

The diaper was full of poop. It was overflowing, and your legs and arms and the door were all covered in poop. The poop was dried, so you’d been working at it for some time.

Daddy took you to the tub and hosed you down under the running water.

It took a while, and several washings, to get everything off you and to get you clean.

All the while, you just played in the water and talked and had a wonderful time. Daddy didn’t gag once.

Like I said, thanks to you, Daddy gags a whole lot less than I did before.

This is the tub, after it was cleaned up. I didn't have time to take any pictures while you were dirty.
